ILLUMINA E-COMMERCE PLATFORM REDESIGN
In 2019, Illumina embarked on the journey of updating its limited and aging e-commerce infrastructure. This undertaking identified six key areas for improvement, including user experience, with a focus on enhancing performance, availability, and ensuring compatibility with various devices.
My role as a product designer on this project encompassed the creation of an e-commerce-specific design system, the formulation of requirements, and annotations for handover to back-end developers, and the design of the user interface for all aspects of the new e-commerce platform. This included the cart and checkout process, as well as order management pages.
